Out-of-State Registration In Georgia

Follow the Fulton County voter registration site or the Georgia Secretary of State site to check your voter status or to register to vote in Georgia. The Fulton County site says, “college students who meet the generally applicable registration requirements may register to vote in the county where the student attends college.”

If you meet the applicable registration requirements and intend to change your voter registration to Georgia, be certain that you contact the local election office in the state and county you were previously registered in to ask them to remove you from their voter rolls. Do not vote in any election twice. You are forgoing your previous state's registration by following this guide and will only be able to vote in Georgia once these steps are completed.
